He is concurrently the Vice-Chairman of Al Amanah Islamic Investment Bank of the Philippines and DBP Leasing Corporation. He is a Director of various companies such as Unicapital, Inc., Unicapital Finance and Investment, Inc., Lear Aero Ltd., Inc., Bukidnon Hydro Electric Corporation La Costa Development Corporation Corp. and Agus 3 Hydropower Corp.. He is a banker for more than 40 years and a former Chairman and CEO of Development Bank of the Philippines, Rizal Commercial Banking Corp., Premier Development Bank and Federal Savings and Mortgage Bank. He graduated from Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan with a degree of Bachelor of Arts major in Economics under the honors program and an MBA candidate of Ateneo de Manila University.
